The food is exceptional and I have tried every dish without any complaints. The buffet offers great value and is highly recommended for vegans in Ubud.

Some pros include the presence of gas h... read more I have visited this restaurant frequently in the past two weeks as it is the nearest vegan eatery to where I am staying. Some pros include the presence of gas heaters under the buffet to keep the food warm, a wide variety of dishes from salads to cooked food, and a buffet price of 50k (although the sign indicates 75k, which may increase during the high season). However, there are some cons such as the lack of a door covering the entry to the washroom area and the proximity of tables to this area. Additionally, the menu does not vary much from day to day, with only one or two different dishes at best. I found the food to be not very tasty and lacking in sweet/dessert options, including no ice cream as mentioned by a previous commenter. If the restaurant were not so close to my accommodation, I would have only visited it once instead of nearly a dozen times.

I ate better food but here I was able to taste a wide range of different things and it's still a recommendable quality. The durian cake though was excellent. No additives, only durian some cream and coconut

They have a fantastic vegan and gluten-free buffet with an incredible variety of dishes that are both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The staff were incredibly kind and took the time to explain how each dish was made, which made the whole experience even more special. It’s so rare to find a place that caters so well to different dietary needs without compromising on taste. On top of that, the price is unbelievably affordable — only 70k for such a diverse and satisfying spread. Highly recommend Sawobali for anyone looking for great food, great options, and great value!
