14;30 May 1 and all we see in the main tourist streets and plazas is places packed out so we head into the miriad of back streets that surround them. We pass by the front door of Restaurante Condestable. We look at each other and decide to take a punt on the inside. Only three taking lunch. What do we do. We decide to go with it. We take the 15 euro fixed menu and the house white.. We are not disappointed. How do they do it for the price. Lovely waiter. Will return.

Arrived in Ubeda and came upon this restaurant. It was empty at 2pm and we looked at the menu which looked okay. We went to dinner in this place and the truth had no bad dinner except the squids that were not good) if the croquettes and the flamingos were rich. the attention was nice, but I honestly think there's a lot better place, so I wouldn't be among my priorities.
Due to the warm weather the restaurant fully operated on the terrace right behind the sacre capilla de Salvador. Nice location. We stayed at the parador and found this a perfect place for a cold beer or wine and a few bites around 22:00. Don’t expect any fancy stuff, it’s straightforward like asparagus (from a can rolled in salmon on fresh salad, patatas. Solomillo al Jerez was nice. Cuenta around €25 for two pax. Unlike others who tell you reservation for an outside table is not possible and not even required as ‘there will be tables’ and having no table upon arrival (e.g. Llamame Lola , the owner here just adds as many tables as needed. Indeed, resulting in increasing waiting times, but who cares on a hot summer night with a cold beer on the table and their neighbour’s parrot whistling to women passing by : By the way: the bar opposite the parador has a friendly owner, cold beer, shadow from the trees and a great view of people passing by.

They treated us wonderfully and even put the music that we told them to drop us, because it was a day's night and we were alone. the magnificent food, a stir of extraordinary inhabits, also the clay and the olives cornezuelo. We were a group of eight people and we were very well and sure we will all come back. highly recommended.
Good deal with work staff, exquisite food and above all a variety of menus at different prices (such as very affordable menus in ratio /price). I recommend it to go with friends, family or big groups. We'll go again!
