The appetizers and desserts were disappointing. However, the main course was quite good. I have never experienced such a difference in quality between dishes at a restaurant before. Was pleasantly surprised with our visit to Proper Gander. The staff were attentive, friendly and polite. Despite being a cosy place it did not feel cramped. The food was delicious and very well presented,. We will definitely be going back again in the future. Thank you 5 stars

After finding everywhere else fully booked, we took a chance and honestly could not believe this place wasn't either! Absolutely impeccable service from the two ladies running things, incredibly attentive without being overbearing. Could have been a fancy London restaurant if it weren't for the beautiful sunset over the sea and hills out of the window behind us. The food was brilliant, big portions and beautifully presented. Will definitely be recommending to friends and visiting again.
