Fantastic pizza! The wood-fired pizzas are truly delicious. The indoor seating area is a bit small, but there’s ample space outside in their pavilion. As for kid-friendliness, there’s a splash pad available outside, but the path leading to it is made of grass and dirt, which might be tricky for little ones. Additionally, there are some rocks at the entrance that could pose a problem for small children. View all feedback.
What Michael Winters dislikes about Sola Bread Co:
I love it when a restaurant takes an ordinary food and turns them into something unusual, fancy, and artisan-like. I don 't like it when said restaurant overcharges for petite appetizers and their genius inventions. The food was good, not great. For $17, I expected a little more than thin crust cheesy bread as a pizza. The entire staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. But due to the prices I just don... View all feedback.
The food is fantastic! The Brazilian Bites were cooked to perfection, and the charcuterie was on point. However, the service could use some improvement. I arrived at 11:50 and was told that they wouldn’t start taking orders until noon, which seemed a bit strange, especially since there were five couples in line waiting. Just before noon, an employee asked the manager if she could begin taking orders, but the manager said no, stating that everyone could wait until noon. The manager's responses were quite short and curt with customers. If they can address this issue, it would easily be a five-star experience. I highly recommend the food!
I've had their pizza before and it was fantastic! Unfortunately, that was more than two years ago, as our schedules never seem to align for a return visit! Please note that they close at 8 PM on Tuesdays, which contradicts what Google says. So don't get your hopes up if it’s 8:20 PM and you're craving Sola Pizza! Honestly, it's best to just give them a call beforehand to confirm their hours before you make the trip.
I love this place. It's an excellent bakery, an amazing pizzeria with a wood fire oven, and it shares a building with the best brewery in Tyler. You can't ask for much more than that. Best croissant in Tyler, best gourmet pizza in Tyler.Food: 5/5
We have visited this restaurant multiple times, and unfortunately, they often don't adhere to their posted hours. Tonight, we managed to arrive before the closing time according to the sign. When we asked the staff at 7:25 how late they would be taking new orders, several employees confirmed it would be until 8 PM. We ordered a beer, looked over the menu, and decided what we wanted. However, when I tried to place an order for pizza at 7:43, I was told that they were done serving for the night. This frustrating issue has occurred consistently, where they do not respect their stated hours. The pizza I’ve had in the past is okay, but it's pricey for what you get. The meats on the charcuterie board often taste stale, which is unfortunate, and I stopped ordering it long ago. We appreciate their commitment to making bread without preservatives, but the overall experience needs improvement. After tonight, I've finally convinced my wife that it's not worth considering a return visit in the future.
I had a ham and cheese croissant for breakfast and a pepperoni pizza for lunch, and both were absolutely delicious! I have a few minor suggestions: it would be great to have a selection of soft drinks available, and investing in larger serving plates that can be washed would help reduce the waste of cardboard boxes going into landfills for each pizza. Also, using actual napkins instead of paper towels would improve the dining experience. Despite these points, I still gave you 5 stars, but if these issues aren’t addressed before my next visit, I might consider lowering my rating. Good food makes up 100% of the experience.
