What Rhcp fleabass doesn't like about Saagar:
Terrible experience—I've cooked better meals myself. We had high hopes for a decent curry, but it was so disappointing that it was nearly inedible. We ordered appetizers and two main dishes with naan, and none of them were satisfactory. I've honestly had better butter chicken from a packaged meal. Delicious! We visited this restaurant a couple of times shortly after it opened and weren't very impressed. However, we've eaten here twice in the last two weeks and have been really impressed with the improvement in the food. While the location might not be 5-star and the atmosphere is pretty casual (I live nearby, by the way), the food is great. The meat is tender, and you can truly taste the differences between the sauces—unlike at some Indian restaurants where everything tastes the same. The view is fantastic, the food is delicious, and it's a BYO place, which is a nice bonus. Go there at sunset, and you won't be disappointed!
I am very disappointed. This was my third attempt to give this place a chance, but I won’t be returning a fourth time. The staff were unprofessional on the phone when I tried to order takeaway. The prices are too high, charging $20 for a chicken korma that had barely any chicken in it. The chicken jalfrezi was the same—more onions than chicken. The flavors were bland, and the naan bread was the worst I've ever had. It was dry, flat, burnt, and completely tasteless. Overall, this experience was very unsatisfactory and disappointing.
