We all highly recommend having it served with the (very generous sized serve of) garlic butter. Chips and other sides were good, and reasonable sized serves. It is a services club, not a dedicated restaurant and the staff were really friendly, funny and earthy folk, with character. The atmosphere is... well, small town pub. But it is clean and comfortable and part of the genuine Twizel culture as opposed to the tourist market.

It’s really giving country vibes. Which is fitting for its location nestled under the beautiful mountains. The staff are lovely. I’m assuming it was the owner and the cashier. Service was super fast and the burger and chips were delicious. I had the Hawaiian burger (cause I’m visiting from Hawaii) and it was excellent. Haha. Wasn’t really a fan of the slaw but that’s just cause I’m not a big cabbage guy but the burger was great and flavorful. Just what I needed after exploring all morning. If you’re in Twizel and need a bite to eat I would highly recommend this place as the have a little bit of everything!
