Nestled in the heart of the high country, Razza's emerges as a local gem, offering a cozy atmosphere and commendable service. Diners rave about the delicious smoked salmon pizza, while the $25 Thai buffet impresses with flavors like fried chicken and sweet and sour pork. What Ross Michell dislikes about Razza:
The pub was fine. 1 star for the buffet. I didn 't eat it but there was a Wednesday 'buffet ' had ~5-6 options of unhealthy oily fried dishes with one (what I could only guess) green curry. I 'm usually all for unhealthy food but this just looked bad. $27 Jan 2024 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5 View all feedback.
Sensational pub in a little town with big history! The smoked salmon is word class! Definitely a place to pop into for a yarn and some great pub grub! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Salmon Burger, Smoked Salmon Pizza
The rib eye was very good, and cooked exactly as we all requested. We all highly recommend having it served with the (very generous sized serve of) garlic butter. Chips and other sides were good, and reasonable sized serves. It is a services club, not a dedicated restaurant and the staff were really friendly, funny and earthy folk, with character. The atmosphere is... well, small town pub. But it is clean and comfortable and part of the genuine Twizel culture as opposed to the tourist market.
Had the works burger and salmon burger, was delicious. One of the only restaurants in town that was open on a Monday. Had the world's biggest recorded brown trout mounted over the bar, which is worth a visit on its own! Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Smoked Salmon Burger, Hawaiian Burger
Such a cute little diner! It’s really giving country vibes. Which is fitting for its location nestled under the beautiful mountains. The staff are lovely. I’m assuming it was the owner and the cashier. Service was super fast and the burger and chips were delicious. I had the Hawaiian burger (cause I’m visiting from Hawaii) and it was excellent. Haha. Wasn’t really a fan of the slaw but that’s just cause I’m not a big cabbage guy but the burger was great and flavorful. Just what I needed after exploring all morning. If you’re in Twizel and need a bite to eat I would highly recommend this place as the have a little bit of everything!
