06/20/22 Not sure why people are so crazy about the Pillow Bread. It 's different and ok so probably worth the experience, but I probably wouldn 't order again. However, *everything* else was extraordinary. Even the house red wine tasted better than any other house red I 've ever had. Couldn 't tell you what our meals were named, because of too many words with too many syllables. Wife 's beef over polenta sauce was amazing. My mildly spicy sauce with meat over short rolled pasta [first pasta on menu, something something Pomodori ? was also excellent. Staff were very nice, and even the owner provides some server duties. Will definitely go again next time in Methow Valley. Highly recommended!!.
What Ethan Hewitt dislikes about Pappi:
Drove 45 minutes to celebrate an engagement here only to be turned away because it was reservation only, even though the place was about half full and it was 7:30!!! No website listed or any indication that it was reservation only. When I did try calling the number on their sign nobody answered. I will not be going back after this terrible experience. Laid back atmosphere with beautiful and delicious food. This is a perfect place for a romantic date.
Reservations are essential! Make sure to sample the pillow bread—it's simply outstanding. The food at this restaurant is truly exceptional. If you’re in search of vegetarian choices, the pillow bread is something you can't miss.
We went to Tappi's for our first time this week to celebrate a special occasion. Wow! We really loved this place. We started with sharing the pillow bread with Chevre and tomatoes. I think I could make a meal out of this alone next time. We ordered the lamb special and the bucatini special for our main courses, both were perfect. Then we had some panna cotta for dessert, and I think they could have rolled us out of there we were so stuffed. The staff and Chef were friendly and very helpful with the wine selection. We can't wait to go back.

This shouldn't surprise anyone who goes to Tappi when you visit. You walk in to a restaurant that is 3/4 empty but are asked if you have a reservation...

One of the best restaurants in Twisp Downtown. Our fav is going to place when we're here!!
My wife and I stopped in for dinner since we love Italian food. We were warmly welcomed by the man making the pizzas (I believe he was the owner), who was very friendly and accommodating. The waitress was also pleasant and personable. We ordered pizzas, and they were incredible. I would rate them a perfect 10/10!
Great food, nice quaint ambiance, super wait staff. All hand made pasta! We had the carbonara and another pasta dish I can’t recall the name of, but delicious. We shared starter salad and the pillow bread…I could live off that pillow bread! Very nice chocolate panna cotta for dessert, perfect size. Will be back for sure.
However, I do have one concern: as someone who avoids milk, gluten, and eggs, my dining options were quite limited. I opted for the ribeye with a salad, which was, for the most part, delicious—though it was a bit on the raw side for medium rare. I had hoped to start with an appetizer, but unfortunately, there were none suitable for my restricted diet, aside from the salads, which I received alongside my main course.
