Mundwerk - Tweng

Great atmosphere. Good, quick service. When you fancy a dirty burger this is lovely. we actually skied to the door due to the conditions we had.

We ski in Obertauern every year and always make sure to have lunch at Mundwerk. They have a great menu for lunch and dinner, we really like the pizzas and the wraps are really good too. It’s also a nice place to go for a drink after skiing, not your typical apres ski place but just a regular bar with nice drinks that are happy for you to come in ski gear or without!

I had lunch here with a buddy on a non-skiing day in Obertauern. Despite Mundwerk not being readily accessible for skiiers, it was pretty packed at 1 p.m. with folks in ski boots (and folks not skiing).We ended up sitting at the bar to eat, which was more than fine with us. The service seemed a bit overwhelmed by the crowd, but they were polite and nice. I had beer and a burger with fries. The fries were pretty good, but the burger was undercooked and unseasoned. My buddy had a salad with chicken, he thought his was pretty good and the portion was more than fair.I would recommend Mundwerk for a drink, not so much for a meal.

Mundwerk is the informal restaurant in the Freudenhaus. Great value for money, good food and very nice staff. After dinner the place turns into a club with good DJ's and a great party crowd. Don't miss it.

Excellent lunch spot with really healthy food. nice change from heavier Austrian food. good burgers, salads and wraps.
