We were greeted by the staff when we entered and was promptly seated. We wanted to order fried squid but they ran out so we had the salmon skin salad instead which was delicious. My bro finished his nabeyaki udon. The only picture I had was my fiance's spicy beef udon which came with a rice ball. It wasn't really spicy but did have a good flavor. We also ordered a california roll even though it was kind of on the pricy side. We'd definitely come back again to try other items on the menu. It's also convenient that 7 leaves is in the same plaza if you have room for drinks after eating

Oki doki by meiji in Tustin is the perfect spot where you can start off with a fresh salmon cucumber roll and end with a piping hot udon. Their shabu shabu udon comes with perfectly cooked udon noodles and a generous amount of the most tender beef belly. The broth is also a beautiful balance of sweet and savory. Chef/owner and Okie Dokie Restaurant team makes this Japanese restaurant in Tustin so special and welcoming in our community! A regular customer for many years, and always a joy to be back. Everything on the menu is so delicious and the flavors authentic. Restaurant was newly renovated and looks bright and clean! We like the comfortable ambiance and pub food menu. Highly recommend their handmade noodles! The soba and Nebayaki udon is always a personal favorite to order. The udon noodles are so chewy and cooked just right. The broth is hot and rich in flavor. Also recommend ordering a side dish like Gyoza ? , fried octopus, grilled squid, and/or one of their popular sushi/rolls. Always pairs well with the noodle dishes. I ordered the katsu curry Udon, and the katsu pork was very dry and tough to chew. The amount of food you get for the price was also very disappointing. Curry and Udon were pretty good though, so at least there's that...I usually eat at the Costa Mesa location and I have to say the food is much better there.

Portions of meat (in beef udon, chicken karaage, and other dishes) are usually generous, and they have Asahi on draft!
