I can’t r... read more However, when I finally placed my order for two drinks, she questioned why I would order two drinks while sitting alone, making me feel uncomfortable. I can’t recall her exact words, but she implied that it was strange for me to order two drinks. I explained that given the long wait, and knowing I had to be somewhere, it made sense to order both drinks at once rather than risk waiting another 10 to 20 minutes. Overall, I felt unwelcome. As a bartender myself, I understand the challenges of the job, but the atmosphere felt hostile and uninviting.
