What Scotlandmac doesn't like about Scotney Castle Tearoom:
Very grumpy serving staff and they all seemed a bit fed up with customers. All a bit chaotic and food choices not very appealing.Had tea and a bit of carrot cake I think it was but very average.Shame, as it’s such a potentially lovely spot.Maybe we caught them on a bad day. When we had finished wandering around the house, castle and grounds we went to this tea room. It was clean and they had a good selection items on offer. We shared a sandwich and I had a very tasty chocolate brownie too. View all feedback.

Despite some issues with service, such as long queues and slow arrival of food, the quality of the dishes was satisfactory. The location provides both indoor and outdoor seating options, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal or drink while visiting the castle. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience of dining at the cafe. Overall, it remains a convenient and welcoming option for visitors to the National Trust site.
