Diners rave about the delicious food, particularly the carbonara and freshly baked pizzas, served with substantial portions. While some guests appreciate the speedy service, others have noted long wait times, leading to a few complaints about meal temperatures. Service quality varies, with friendly waitstaff creating a welcoming environment, though some encountered unfriendly service. Despite its charming interior, maintenance issues, especially in the restrooms, mar an otherwise enjoyable experience. Overall, a visit promises both delights and disappointments.
While in Tunbridge Wells with my colleagues, we had the common struggle of deciding on a restaurant for dinner. Luckily, we found a Pizza Express at the end of the High Street, so we decided to give it a try. Everyone had their own preferences, but I was intrigued by the new menu item, N 'duja Doughballs. We were considering ordering more when our main dishes arrived. My American Hot pizza was deliciously fresh with a great crust. The standout of the evening, however, was the excellent service from our waitress. She was incredibly helpful and friendly, which truly enhanced our dining experience.
I waited for 1 hour for a couple of pizzas at Pizza Express. They were burnt and dry. I expected better from them. I will not be returning for a while.
Really good service, lovely bunch of people working here and just delicious food. Especially the carbonara which I always think is SO much nicer with linguine than spaghetti. There’s a lovely buzz to this place which is also down to the layout lovely dramatic atmosphere with the galleried first floor, spiral staircase etc. BUT the men’s loos in this place are disgraceful. Goodness knows when I was last here but it was quite a long time ago and the urinals were taped off with hazard tape then! Was that months ago? No it was longer than that. In addition the toilets are, euch, grubby, worn, damp patches everywhere. Someone is not keeping the place in A1 condition for its age and type which is the repair standard required by a normal fully repairing and insuring lease. Needs attention.
Good service food. Warm welcome and prompt table service. We ate here a month ago but I couldn’t resist the sloppy guiseppe again and it didn’t disappoint.
Visited recently with my family and can honestly say I won’t be returning. Halloumi bites very small portion. Calamari very small portion, both well over priced for frozen and tasteless cuisine. Sloppy guiseppe pizza hardly any toppings. Raw slaw was good but again small portion. Asked if we would like any sauces with our meal, yes please, mayonnaise……only to be told they don’t do mayonnaise….. come on, everyone loves a bit of mayo! All that was on offer was garlic oil or chilli oil. The worst £200 I’ve ever spent.
