Contribute FeedbackJunaki, a notable Indian restaurant in Tunbridge Wells, presents a mix of dining experiences. While many patrons praise its delectable dishes, particularly the tender lamb and flavorful samosas, others have encountered inconsistencies in food quality, notably chewy chicken and bland flavors. Service quality varies, with some enjoying attentive care, while others face extended wait times due to understaffing. The ambiance is inviting, and its offerings provide a refreshing twist on traditional cuisine. Despite mixed opinions, Junaki continues to attract loyal diners eager to savor its charm and promising potential.
Okay, we do like Junahkis a lot! We eat there about 10 times a years. We both enjoyed the food and the wine. The service was excellent. We arrived at six and there were no other diners but the tables were soon filling up and the downstairs area was being utilised too. We'll be back soon!
We met our neighbours for a surprise birthday meal. A fabulous experience! Great food and service. 5* Junahkis is back! We'll be back soon!
The takeout from Junaki was terrible. It used to be the best curry house in Tunbridge Wells, but now it might be the worst. The chicken was chewy and dry, had to be thrown away. The sauces, rice, and bread were all flavorless. The most shocking part was the watered-down mango chutney - it was so thin, it was like water. Couldn't even spoon it because it had been watered down so much. I won't be ordering from them again.
Got a take away for 4. Really mean portions- less than half full containers for the main course. Very poor value for money and very disappointing.
This is such a great curry house and the food is delicious. It’s just such a shame that they are so understaffed that dinner takes 2. Hours to be served. The waiters could work no harder, neither one presumes could the chefs a few of our dishes weee cold too but I so hope that they will find appropriate staff to get it back to its former self.
