Western Steak House - Tumbler Ridge

I of course ordered steak ( we ate there a total of three times over our stay in Tumbler Ridge ) and my wife who is a bit picky and wanted something different on each occasion asked for something to be prepared that wasn't on the menu. The waitress and cook was able to deliver on exactly what she wanted, even though the place was busy. The food was delivered hot and tasty. No complaints. Service was good and didn't have to worry about when my drink would get refreshed. Would be back again !

Although we were staying at another hotel we were attending a conference in this hotel and the folks from Western Steakhouse did all the catering. It was excellent and after the conference we came back for dinners here. Good food, prompt friendly service, nice decor, everything you could ask for while enjoying your meal.

Staying at the hotel so decided to come try this place as it is right in the hotel. I ordered the NY Strip steak and it was cooked perfectly. The veggies were a little cold but still ok. The service was friendly and professional. The cheesecake for dessert was also very good. The prices were not bad for a steak house. A little less than what I had thought they would be actually for where we are. I would recommend trying it when in town. I am actually eating here again right now while writing this review.

Stayed at the hotel the restaurant is attached to so the restaurant location was convenient. The interior is clean but nothing spectacular, the menu was limited with only two steak dishes available which was odd for a restaurant that claims to be a steakhouse. I ordered the striploin it had a good flavour, but was slightly overcooked. The fresh cut fries and veggies were good, overall not bad for a small town.

The atmosphere was nice. Drinks OK good price. Steak Night Friday $16.00 came with a 10oz sirloin, baked potatoe, veggies and a starter choice of appy/soup or salad. The steak was well seasoned and cooked well.
