Was Witold Michalski at La Chula a mag?
I can’t express how much we enjoyed ourselves! We went two nights in a row and I’m pretty sure we will visit more before we leave. The food is absolutely amazing, I had the octopus and my partner had the steak. It was delicious!!! Really friendly staff as well! I definitely recommend. View all feedback.

Excellent food, good service, nice restaurant. Friendly service can make or break a restaurant. Here everyone was friendly and willing to help, advise or make a joke. The food was fabulous and very tastefull. Absolute coming back.

The music was blaring so loudly that we could barely talk. Instead of chips and a bowl of salsa we received two tostada shells stuck in a bucket of corn with some mini salsas. My entre was served 20 minutes before my husbands. The food in general while decent was not great. Pricing- OMG it was absolutely overpriced. What we thought was the cost for a entire meal was in fact the cost for one taco. Now here's the kicker- for two bottles of water they charged us $10. No that is not a typo. This place is a tourist scam and should be avoided.
My family and myself came here at least 4 times during our stay 2x for lunch and 2x for dinner .Our dishes ranged from oysters raw cooked , cowboy steak , tacos octopus, shrimp , fish , octopus entrees and the catch of the day . The food was delicious as well as drinks.I’m not a mezcal drinker but the Lin May is a must try cocktail. Juan Carlos Carlos provided top tier service and is one of the reasons we kept going back .
My wife and I stayed near this restaurant and decided to check it out. We had the catch of the day and it was amazing. Price were fair or pretty comparable to other places in the area. The best part about dining here was the service. Our waiter was Juan (Juan Carlos? and he was a joy to talk to. He made us feel very special during our visit. It felt like a real unexpected date night. Juan also told us about the mini Cenote that is hidden at the back if the property. Just down a few steps and it was like a Zen Sanctuary. We were very please with La Chula and would refer it to anyone.
Fresh oysters, you could see them in a tank. A of shellfish i never had before. At first we where not sure if we would just have oysters and cocktails and go somewhere else for dinner. After trying the oysters we stayed here to try the pork belly and soft Shell crab taco's. We loved both of them and ordered some more! We got five chili sauces to add to our taco's. Open and clean kitchen. Great taco's, amazing service (i dropped my knife by accident and got a new one immediatly) and I loved the cocktails!! They asked is what whe'd like and recomended us a cocktail.

The ambience is exceptionally nice with a high pergola roof creating a lovely cool breeze. We've been there 3 times and loved every one of them. The food is exceptional and freshly squeezed juices are very refreshing. The staff is very obliging and friendly and the prices are very reasonable too.Highly recommended and not to be missed!
Went to La Chula for late breakfast and had a pleasant experience. Strong coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice and a traditional breakfast was enjoyed. Great staff, easy pace and reasonable prices. Will go back and try the lunch menu next time.Nice playscape area for the kids in the back but this is adult at night with full bar and live music.
La Chula is the perfect name for this place! Super cute palapa restaurant, in a beautiful jungle setting. Excellent prices and service. We were staying in Aldea Zama and happened upon this place while exploring the area on our bikes. We were immediately greeted, sat in a gorgeous table overlooking the back jungle/garden area and were recommended to try one of their fresh juice blends. I had a blend of pineapple, spinach, and orange juice (the Mayan?) which was super tasty, HUGE, and very refreshing for the hot bike ride we had just finished. My husband and I both had the green chilaquiles with huevos (eggs). It was served in this huge bowl and was incredibly tasty. You get great quality and quantity for your money here! One warning: You are in a jungle setting, I went into the bathrooms (which were super cute and clean, btw) and there was a HUGE spider on the floor!!! EEK!
We ordered a kid's meal for our 2yo and it was the most beautiful, healthy one we have ever seen! It consisted of chicken, a small salad, fruit, pasta, an aqua fresca, and dessert! My description doesn't do it justice but it truly was impressive and enough to feed an adult. They have a huge wooden play structure in the back of the restaurant and toys for kids. I could imagine lots of families there watching over the kids playing as they enjoyed a leisurely meal. When we were there it was in the heat of the day so not ideal but it was still fun for our toddler to climb around a little bit. Beautiful restaurant with delicious food!
My husband and I went to La Chula to see a local artisans' work. It is a restaurant, but there were art stands everywhere. We bought four gorgeous photos from a professional photographer at a very reasonable price. My husband had been suffering from food poisoning due to neglectful behavior at our resort. He became very faint in the restaurant; they gave him a very large, cold, free bottle of water. He got up to go to the bathroom and became dizzy, seeing spots. A customer found him in the floor of the bathroom and helped get him up and find me. We walked outside to take our round-trip taxi back to our resort. Our driver had disappeared. One of the restaurant employees ran out and brought Matt a chair from inside. He knew one of the customers was a doctor, so he brought her to us. They went out of their way to ensure Matt was okay and that we got to our resort safely. They called the taxi company for us, as we had no service, and demanded they find our driver. We never got the chance to eat at the restaurant, but the service and kindness of the employees and customers is stellar. I am grateful for every step they took to help me care for my sick husband. Outstanding.
