What Andrew Coco dislikes about Arca:
Most of the food was good, but the service was not and the overall atmosphere is not great. Definitely not worth the price. This restaurant is overhyped and overpriced for what it is. For fine dining, there are better options around Tierra or Le Chique. View all feedback.

Incredible. Could not have had a better meal. Staff was gracious and thoughtful. Food was stellar.
Hartwood is better that provides better food, better service and better experience
We had an unforgettable meal. We were surprised that our favorite item on the menu would be the broccolini! We actually ordered 2 orders and made it our mane dish because it was so good. Don't for get to order the sourdough bread to soak up the sauce. The ambiance is so special and service was excellent too. It is pricy but so is everything in Tulum. At least it is worth it. Five Stars!!
Everything was delicious though expensive. But I think prices are on par for every other major restaurant on that main strip
UhhhhMazing Food and Service! Prompt service: our drinks and food hit the table right away! Food: gastronomic adventure! Everything is packed with depth of flavor that marries so perfectly well! We went to an underwhelming dinner at Azulik before Arca, and we are glad we booked Arca on the same night. We left happy and oh so satisfied. Some of the best bites of 2024. This is coming from a husband and wife chefs!

Spectacular food (small plate concept). Very expensive. Service was excellent. We had a crab dish, soft shell crab tacos and suckling pig. Broke da mouth.
Mila is the most phenomenal bartender. Personable, bilingual, took us on a cocktail journey for the ages. Highly recommend!
ARKA Restaurant is a magical portal where all your senses are for a treat. The craft and passion for service translate into an unforgettable experience where every single sip and bite is just a divine expression of paradise on earth. This Maya corner understands the power of its heritage and uses local ancestral secrets to propose a gastronomical adventure that truly shocks your senses. If you’re visiting Tulum do yourself a favor and visit ARKA!
ARCA is hands down the best restaurant in Tulum. The combination of quality, locally sourced food and the chef’s vision for pairing food is exceptional. The atmosphere is also so unique. Highly Recommended if you are visiting Tulum.
The food was really tasty and interesting. I think it is a bit over priced and over hyped. The quality isn’t as good as neighbouring restaurant Hartwood. The service is very attentive. If a single drop of water hits the table 4 people will rush over to wipe it up. I did feel rushed which is why I’m giving a 4 for service.

Absolutely love this place! I was in Arca 2 years ago when they only opened and unfortunately I didn't have good experience with the service and food... This time I decided to give a second try because of my friends review. I am glad I did! The host was very pleasant and greeted me friendly. The manager Paola and the staff were amazing! The food was delicious! The unique flavors and taste of perfectly cooked ingredients made their magic. I changed my opinion about the place. The cocktails were delicious. I had Casa Dragones and hibiscus mescalita. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back to experience their food more!

Food is really delicious, beautifully presented and thoughtful. However, 3 of 4 dishes we ordered were very similar in terms of taste (Scallop Ceviche, soft bowl crabs tacos and sea roasts with green mol). We hardly heard our waiter (the music is really loud), we had to fill up wine glasses from ourselves and we had to ask 3 times for the bill.
The FOOD was incredible. It was so adventurous and playful. The crab tacos were the star of the show! We also had Seabass, shrimp and the Cesar salad all amazing! Juan was our server and he was AMAZING! The whole support staff was attentive and cleared our table promptly.
Best meal of my living life! Would travel back to Tulum just to eat at ARCA again. Ana was incredible.
I would say come here one night for the ambience and the theatrics: interesting food presentation, being bathed in copal smoke as a waiter walked the around the space with a stone pot of burning incense, pleasant cocktails and tasty dishes. BUT the service was probably the least warm and attentive that we had for our entire stay. Our first encounter with the hostess was being slightly rudely told we needed to wait because another couple was ahead of us (though we had a reservation and since it was only 5:30, the restaurant was still entirely empty). Next our waitress’ first words to us were to clarify that we only had the table for 1.5 hrs in case we hadn’t been told on entering. Understandable if the Resto is very busy but actually it wasn’t the whole time we were there and while limited time slots is common, there’s a way to convey it in a way that emphasises first that you’re happy to have us rather than leading with we need to leave soon. On the whole, the combined effect was to convey to us that the Resto felt they were an “it” spot and we were lucky to be there. Again, it was cool overall so I’m not saying don’t go. But after all the warmth of literally everywhere else we went the experience was a bit jarring by comparison and on our last night to boot. I would say the place would be great if service improved.
