Description

Nestled in Tulsa’s Brookside, this modern minimalist restaurant impresses with creative, globally inspired dishes and locally sourced produce. Brunch offerings shine with exotic options like shakshuka and curry eggs, while small plates such as fried pork belly and lamb bolognese delight diners. Standout appetizers and well-crafted cocktails elevate the experience, although some entrees receive mixed feedback for flavor and value. Service varies from attentive and knowledgeable to inconsistent. The inviting, Greek-inspired atmosphere and outdoor courtyard enhance dining, making it a memorable spot for adventurous eaters seeking both familiar and innovative cuisine in a welcoming setting.

As for the food, it was absolutely remarkable. Every dish was delicious, but some were genuinely thought-provoking. I particularly loved the heirloom tomato salad with fresh raspberries, the summer corn croquettes with maple syrup, and the sweet potato dessert (we enjoyed it so much we immediately ordered a second one!). The broccoli and several other dishes also left a lasting impression. What really stood out to me about the food was its elegantly simple composition. In dishes where 30 ingredients could play a role, the chef opted for just 3, expertly highlighting their best qualities. This is the true magic of culinary technique!

I had a fantastic dinner at Oren. Our server was incredibly friendly and took the time to thoroughly explain the menu. The meals were served flawlessly. Although there was a slight delay in delivering the main dish for one member of our party, they graciously sent a complimentary appetizer while we waited, which was a nice touch. The menu is quite appealing, featuring a wide variety of dishes. They also have an excellent selection of wines. I ordered the duck, and it was cooked to perfection. This is a great spot for impressing important business clients or enjoying a lovely dinner with a special someone or foodie friends. I highly recommend it!

We had an incredible evening with friends at Oren. The staff was extremely professional, friendly, and well-informed about every dish and drink on the menu (Nash was our waiter). The food was outstanding! I never realized carrots could taste so delicious! We shared a variety of dishes, and none of them let us down. For our main course, our table enjoyed the short rib and halibut (I believe this was the special for the night). Both were fantastic! To make the experience even more special, the chef came out to chat with us, adding a personal touch to our meal. This was absolutely the best dining experience I've had in Tulsa.

I’ve been eager to try Oren, and it lived up to my expectations. The cocktails were outstanding, and the food was truly delicious. The arancini is a definite must-have. The duck was cooked to perfection, with a rich sauce that complemented the Brussels sprouts wonderfully. The Bolognese was tasty, though I wished the meat and sauce flavors were a bit more distinct. Despite the premium prices, we would definitely come back.

Oren offers a fantastic atmosphere with a warm and cozy ambiance. On my visit, I ordered the center cut ribeye, served with potato purée and gravy sauce—definitely my favorite dish from Oren's menu after several visits. I usually enjoy a dirty martini because they have the best blue-cheese stuffed olives, but sadly they were out of olives that evening, which was a bit disappointing. Instead, I tried a French 75, and it was excellent.
