The app wasn't working properly, and when I called, my order was mixed up. It arrived 20 minutes late, and the pizza was terrible—stale and inedible. Overall, a really disappointing experience.
The pizza is consistently soggy. I've visited this place four times this month, and each time the entire group has been let down.
We didn't have high expectations when we arrived at Mazzio's Pizza. However, those expectations sank even lower as we waited almost 45 minutes for the...
The basic pizza was decent, but the salad bar was lacking and a bit worn, though it was reasonable for the price. As for the restaurant's atmosphere, the location on 101st St and Sheridan has been around since 1990, after an old liquor store closed down. It still has the original wall decor (or what’s left of it) and the same paint. This place really needs a full renovation, all the way down to the wall studs, ceiling joists, and concrete slab. I hope that a makeover would help eliminate the musty, stale smell. Overall, it's not the most pleasant environment for dining.
This was our first visit back since the pandemic, and it was just alright for a lunch buffet. The salad and pizza buffet cost $8.49. Although the website states that they open at 10:30, the pizza isn't ready until 11:00. There used to be a really nice and friendly person who took orders at the counter—hopefully, they can bring her back. As an older customer, I noticed that most of the staff seemed to be around my age or older, aside from two individuals I only caught a glimpse of. Unfortunately, many of the staff appeared quite grumpy during our visit. For the price, it's decent—just don't expect much in the way of conversation or hospitality, and you'll be fine.
