His gourmet approach to pub food put R Bar on the map of my regular stops for lunch. When I heard that his new concept, Levain Kitchen Bakery, wouldtaking over the old Cafe Seville location at the Shops of Seville I was excited to give it a try. I stopped by this pastSaturday and gladly it was open for business and I was not disappointed. The decor and seating has been upgraded, giving it awarm, french cafe feel. The bakery items immediately catch the eye and the simple, fair priced, breakfast menu is filled withitems that sound very tasty. It tried the frittata, which was light and fluffy and the potatoes were perfectly cooked. Can'twait to try lunch! Next time your looking for a good meal in the South Tulsa area, stop by Levain Kitchen Bakery. You'll behappy you did.

I took my 6- and 4-year-olds, and they ordered adult meals—they absolutely loved them. If you're craving a rich local treat, try the Dutch baby; my son’s granola topping was so good, I ended up stealing it all. I’m obsessed with the warm salad—it’s just the right portion, savory, and satisfying. Between family and friends, we’ve tried the breakfast sandwich, croissants, biscuits, coconut chocolate chip cookies (please bring those back!), scrambled eggs, eggs Benedict, Dutch baby, warm salad, and cinnamon roll (which has a unique, sourdough-like flavor and is delightful). Everything was delicious except the biscuits—they were terrible, and neither my kids nor I could eat them. They have an expensive wine worth trying for brunch: a red mimosa called Alloy’s Tin City, a red Zinfandel mixed with coffee in a can. It sounds unusual, but it’s fun, interesting, and tastes as expected. It contains 6.5 mg of caffeine per ounce, close to the 8 mg in a cup of coffee. You can also buy it at Grapes and Grain if you end up liking it.
