What Angela Mucha doesn't like about The Gateway Lodge:
this restaurant ended up being a big let down. the river is gorgeous, but the food is WAY over priced $29 for an impossible burger and fries, $17 for a 6 inch pizza $30+ for ravioli .i’d heard the portions were big to justify these prices but not for what i ordered. i got 6 8 ravioli, and the 6” pizza was the worst i’ve ever had hardly any sauce and cheese, mostly crust, the veggies were clearly cooked on the side ad... Located on our route to the southeast entrance of Sequoia National Park, this was just what we needed for a hearty breakfast before hitting the trail.The country fried steak was excellent, and everyone raved about the pancakes. The service was also excellent, but the best part was the patio. The place is right next to a raging river, which made for an excellent backdrop to our family breakfast. Highly recommend!Nearb...
