Substance Coffee Diner - Tucson

As for the food, the cheezesteak was delicious and the abundance of fried pickles was a favorite. However, the roast peace sandwich was dry and could have used more sauce, and the fries were good but could have been more generous. We gave a 2-star rating due to the decent food quality despite the poor service and rudeness we experienced. With so many other vegan options in Tucson, we are unsure if we will give this restaurant another try.

The food at this restaurant was delicious, hot, and fresh, however it was a bit pricey for the portion sizes. I had my meal delivered so I cannot speak on the service or atmosphere. Unfortunately, condiments were not included with my order and had to be purchased separately. Surprisingly, ranch dressing was $2 per packet!

This restaurant serves the best vegan food I have had in years, and it is some of the best food overall. I highly recommend trying the Fricken Nuggies and the Roast Peace sandwich. 10/10!

First time trying Substance. I ordered the Barby's Roast Peace and my partner ordered the Substance Burger. We both added a small French fry to our meals. Food was sensational and the portions were large. You don't have to be vegan to enjoy this food.

Amazing homemade vegetarian food! Always stop by here when I’m traveling from California. Worth every penny.
