Sand Reckoner Tasting Room - Tucson

What a wonderful little wine tasting room in the warehouse district! We visited for the rosé release party at Sand Reckoner, where we sampled two new wines, including a Grenache rosé. We also enjoyed a remarkable selection of their other Arizona wines, all crafted and produced right here in the higher altitudes of Arizona's wine country. Guests can relax and savor their tastings at the bar, or opt to take a few bottles home—a great way to support the local wine industry! If you enjoy white wines, be sure to try their Roussanne, Malvasia Bianca, and Picpoul Blanc. They are dry, fruity, crisp, and delicious—a refreshing change from the usual white wines we tend to drink all summer. All their red wines are fantastic as well. We are huge fans!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wines in this Arizona winery. There's definitely something for everyone to enjoy. They offer some truly unique selections; one of my favorites was the orange Roussanne.

I have to admit that I don't know much about wine, other than what I personally enjoy. I'm not the type to first check the price tag; some days I'm happy with a budget wine, and on others, I like to treat myself to something nice that pairs well with a good home-cooked ribeye steak. My wife and I enjoyed several of the wines so much that we decided to buy a bottle of each of the featured selections: a 2016 Malvasia Bianca and a 2014 Sangiovese. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who supports local wineries.

One of the best tasting rooms in the Tucson area. Great selection of wonderful wines. Always a great example of Arizona wines. Staff could not be more helpful, knowledgeable and friendly!
