Mt. Lemmon Cookie Cabin
Description
Perched atop Mount Lemmon, the Cookie Cabin is a rustic log-cabin destination known for giant cookies, combo pizzas, ice cream and a sunny deck with sweeping mountain views. Many diners enjoy the friendly staff, sandwiches and hot chocolate, and praise the scenic drive. Experiences vary—service, cookie freshness and portion size can be inconsistent, weekend parking is tight, and some find prices high. Best for families, tourists and casual outdoor meals, it’s a charming mountain stop that can delight when busy days align.

I visited the front counter today to order a cookie, but the girl working there was busy counting credit card receipts. I stood there waiting for her to acknowledge my presence, but all she did was greet me softly before returning to her counting. I waited for her to take my order, but when she didn’t, I decided to leave. I used to come here often, and I hope that next time they pay more attention to their customers! It was very disappointing!
I have family visiting from out of state, and I took them to Mount Lemmon today. We visited the Cookie Cabin around 3 p.m., which was a tremendous disappointmentThe young lady got the cookies out of a lower cabinet. Once I got back downstairs, I discovered the cookies weren’t even warm. The scoops of ice cream were small tooMy 82 year old mom wasn’t willing to wait for them to be remade again, so we just ate and departedI had family visiting last year, and the Cookie Cabin was great when we visited. This was an entirely different experience
This place is one of my favorites! The pizza here is fantastic. The cookies are huge and absolutely delicious!! Atmosphere is so fun. It’s a huge log cabin with indoor and outdoor seating at the top of a mountain. What more could you ask for. All this after a breath taking drive up the mountain. This one is a definite must. Parking: On the weekends parking can be difficult as the parking spaces are limited. Go during the week and it’s no problem. Kid-friendliness: Kids will have a blast here! Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp to get up to the cabin.
I paid $6 for a medium Coke, $9 for an average cookie, and $35 for a cheese or pepperoni pizza on flat crust. For just one person, the total came to $35, which feels quite expensive. Parking is also a major hassle. In my opinion, the entire town isn’t worth the trip for a meal. I suggest you bring your own food and enjoy a picnic instead. The service here seems to indicate that they’d rather not have visitors; the staff appears overwhelmed and exhausted. This is simply my perspective. Surprisingly, wealthy individuals often pay much more for less than what this place offers. Enjoy your visit; the drive is beautiful and doesn’t cost a thing to appreciate!
