Teresa's Mosaic Cafe - Tucson
Teresa's Mosaic Cafe
Description
Mosaic, a family-owned restaurant in Tucson, offers a mixed bag of experiences according to reviewers. While some highlights include delicious salsa and homemade tortillas, the overall experience is described as inconsistent. The pricing is a bit high for what is offered, with some dishes falling short of expectations. However, the inviting atmosphere and friendly service are generally praised. Freshly made tortillas and traditional Mexican dishes like menudo are recommended, making it a must-try spot for those looking for a taste of home. Despite some mixed feelings, Mosaic shows promise with its unique offerings and warm hospitality.

The service was excellent. I ordered the machaca burrito plate, and it was delicious. The chips and salsa were also fantastic. The only downside was that the music was quite loud, making it necessary for everyone to raise their voices to have a conversation. A big thank you to Josie for the outstanding service!
This restaurant is definitely overrated. The chicken burrito with sour cream was quite dry, and the meat was tough. At $14, it felt like it was worth no more than $5. I also ordered a basket of chips, which I would rate as below average—the portion was small, and the salsa lacked flavor. Overall, I found this place to be excessively priced for what they provide. I suspect other reviewers might be trying different dishes. I've enjoyed much better street food in Mexico.
Good food. For breakfast, my over easy eggs came out over hard, but other than that, it's some tasty choices. Nice area and view better than #2 location, but the #2 location is better food.
The freshly made tortillas were fantastic. Our server was incredibly attentive and friendly. We dined with a group of six.
