Authentically outstanding. Gentle does of Mayocoba beans, from the farm of the owner’s uncle, on the chips. Horchata made without milk; only simple tasty ingredients. Owner made me three tacos to sample the diversity. Wish I was a local as I’d eat here routinely!!! View all feedback.
What Hugh J doesn't like about Martin's Comida Chingona:
The owner/chef was Belligerent and verbally abusive to customers and what looked like the only other person working there. Everything was caked in layers of dust. The quesadilla were so soggy and all the meat was dry. At the end when we tried to pay he went on a vulgar rant about how young people are the reason everything in the world is awful. Disappointing place, they advertise lots of vegan options but there are o... View all feedback.
The owner was incredibly rude and condescending to an older woman in our group. She asked how much a dish was, because he doesn't put the prices on the menu as if he's the Iron Chef. I assume he leaves the prices off so he can charge you according to his mood. I was charged $40 for 2 quesadillas with meat. So I guess he didn't like me but I'm never going back anyways. The art and decor looks like it was designed by a depressed teenager. There are literally dozens of great Mexican restaurants in Tucson, keep looking cause this isn't one.

Buenísimo! The food is amazing, fresh, and stays true to the Mexican pallete. It does not disappoint!I ordered the Tres Pinches tacos: two fish and one veggie (thank you for having veggie options for All sections in the menu). Grilled fish had all the umami you expect from a coastal town. The tortillas de maíz were clearly fresh and hand made. Love! The veggie taco was filed with SABOR no meat was missed at all. Échale! Gracias Martin. I will be back for more.
Hidden gem in Tucson serving authentic Mexican food prepared by Martin himself! They have fresh ingredients with a variety of delicious taco flavors such as one made of jamaica (hibiscus) and jackfruit. Their other meat tacos are all delicious as well. I would also recommend the house-made horchata which doesn't contain any milk! Their chips are also unique, having white beans with the tortilla chips! You can also come here for brunch since they serve delicious chilaquiles at 10:30 AM.While their menu (strangely) doesn't have any prices, their food is reasonably priced. The decor of the restaurant follows a fun luchador theme. If you have a chance to meet Martin, you'll note that he's a character with a penchant for authentic Mexican cuisine make sure you orde the corn tortillas!Vegetarian options: Lots of options for vegetarians with delicious jamaica and jackfruit options!
The owner was very rude and verbally abusive to the customers (me included). He raised his voice at me for telling him that I was ready to order. On top of that, the food was flavorless and bland. Also very expensive for subpar food. Paid $20 for a torta and a pineapple water. Definitely not authentic Mexican food. My torta was soggy and a mushy mess. The place itself was dusty and smelly. Would NOT recommend to ANYONE.
