this is one of those places that I almost hesitate to rate because it is a hidden gem and I don't want everyone to find out about it. it is a small, family Mexican place. eating is great, it is in the quiet, and the prices are really good. one of my favorite places to dinner. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Placita Cafe:
this restaurant is almost unknown. it is hidden in the back of the plaza behind trident and vero amore. it's a sweat. the decoration has come down and terrible. I feel like I'm in the house of my grandmother (not a compliment.) the service was fast! the food was edible. not great, not terrible. Don't think I'm going back. but glad I tried. View all feedback.
This restaurant is a hidden gem that I almost don't want to review because I want to keep it a secret. It's a small, family-run Mexican restaurant with delicious food, a peaceful atmosphere, and affordable prices. It's one of my top choices for dinner.
This restaurant is relatively unknown, tucked away in the back of the plaza behind Trident and Vero Amore. It has a quaint atmosphere, but the decor is outdated and unappealing. It feels similar to being in my grandma's house, which is not a compliment. The service was quick, and the food was decent, though not exceptional. I don't believe I would come back, but I am glad I gave it a try.
Our group was pleased with our selections. We requested separate checks and were advised to pay in cash for the convenience of the server. Our server was excellent and everyone felt well taken care of. We will definitely return.
Wow! I stopped in for take-out on a trip and found my new favorite Tucson restaurant! The Hole Mole Oxaqueno is amazing, perfectly cooked chicken breast in mild, chocolatey mole, not too sweet, such reasonable price I could afford guacamole whichwas so fresh and tasty! Homemade flour tortilla, order an extra because there's plenty of chicken for leftovers but it's sogood that might not be a problem. Yummy, thank you La Placita!
I think a 1-star review is too high for this place. I have never seen staff so rude, nasty, and just impolite. While the server was nice, the owner was despicable and honestly doesn't care about people and her restaurant. On top of all of this, the foodwas absolutely mediocre. In Tucson, there are so many wonderful Mexican eats, so please go anywhere but here. Even Taco Bell hasthis food beat. The food is overly expensive, small portions, taste terrible, and served with a side of attitude and disrespect. Please do not support this restaurant and please patronize any other local business in the area.
