I had the luck to taste the food at jimmy’s on the last Thursday evening. from the outside the restaurant looks rather not describing, but you must be careful because you could easily overlook a jewel of a restaurant alone. the inner is small, but cozy. there is a small bar area next to where ordering and picking occur. the dining room is L-shaped and has some limited seating. as I said, it is cozy, warm and has a new yorker mood. the walls have old photos of nyc and I found the place quite comfortable. for eating. I ordered two medium pizzas: the southwest heat and the jersey shore, along with a order of (free) garlic knots. the knots were quite large and came with Marinara sauce. it's hard to screw knots, but I wish they had a bit more crispy taste. both pizzas were pretty good. the southwest heat has a very nice warmth. the jersey Shore pizza is an unstoppable seafood pizza and I think they have made a pretty good job with this. I'm going to dinate here definitiw. the staff was also friendly and helpful. so, overall, if you want a nyc pizza vibe in tucson, jimmy is a good place to visit. I love these little culinary gems they find!
Lately, this has been a quick stop off for me. I walk there in 3 minutes. I've had their Calzones...big and delicious, but a little over priced. I had the wings extra hot and wasn't satisfied with them but they were average. I had pizza there like 4 times and I have to say it was way above average for Tucson. I posted a few images from the bar area and I promised Kenny to fix his red-eye, but couldn't deliver...the woman is Jordan, she is very sweet and caring. Enjoy you stay with them... you'll be happy especially if you eat their pizza there.
Really delicious pizza, garlic knots, and salads, reasonable prices. To be honest, the salads here are some the best I've ever had eating out in this city, the dressing is sublime and they're great for sharing with others. Atmosphere is nice and cozy too, not too bright. The strombolies are amazing too, a great spot to hit for lunch because of this! Honestly, can't recommend this place enough, everybody should stop in and try it.
The price for a slice is unbeatable. I had a slice of pepperoni, I really enjoyed the sauce, which was my favorite part. But I don't think that I would call it New York pizza. Overall not bad but not the best, 6.7.
The food itself was top-notch; the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and the crust had the perfect thickness and flavor. Just take a look at the photos to see the generous amount of toppings! You have to try the cream cheese bread with marinara—it was a highlight. We live in a residential complex that can be tricky to navigate, but the delivery person found our door without any issues and was very friendly. Don't hesitate to give this place a try; you won't regret it!
