The Cup Cafe offers a delightful dining experience with excellent food and a reasonable price, accompanied by a good selection of wines. The iconic lobby is worth a visit alone, with a beautiful and gracious staff member named Anna who embodies the class of the hotel. For those looking for a fun night out, the hotel offers multiple bar locations and a discotheque with two dance floors and great music. Despite some minor drawbacks like loud weekend events and slow service at times, the Hotel Congress remains a top-rated destination with a rich history and exciting atmosphere. Don't forget to check out the Ho????o???.??m website when booking your stay for great deals on hotel prices.
I was happy surprised by eating and atmosphere. we went to a jazz show. I thought the outdoor location was too loud, or maybe I'm too old. the indoor event room was perfect. great personal and owner.
Always like the place as he has good music and it always bounces. Unfortunately, and I am picky, but we were out and besides smokers no other tables were available so that we left. also had an old fashion not sure that there was any alcohol in it and it was waaaay too sweet.
Historical, beautiful, and 3 bars all in a building, what could you want more? I've probably seen a dozen shows here and was always happy. remember, it can be quite crowded, but always a stop at the end of the night worth.
What a piece of history! my visit was on a Friday night when there was a lot of music and people. a lively experience at a place with splashy ties and great bets to rest well! a restaurant and several bar locations are located in this interesting and rich environment, in which john dillinger and a great fire are historically well respected. they stay here at least once in their lives!
I agree with the posters about the noise and other issues. If it is a historical authentic 1930's experience, there should not be rock n roll blasting at night until 1 am from inside the hotel. . An occasional event will be fine but as a steady diet, not for all travelers. Book another hotel as an answer to Brian's review is cold and callous and doesn't let anyone wanting to book the hotel get a warm and fuzzy. The Hospitality industry does not work like that. The place is amazing as the building is original and showcases past historical events through photos. The rooms are authentic and of course small with ancient plumbing that could use renovating one day. But the recent room renovations are wonderful. However, I have no complaints about this part of the authentic 1930's experience. I live in Phoenix and as a lover of history, I like the hotel and stayed there on several occasions in the past but the attitude and misleading information is not appreciated along with the noise any longer. Each time I went, there was always something that put a negative spin on the experience. It is sad, it is a cute boutique hotel that can attract more higher clientele if they cleaned up their act and moved on from their aging rock n roll theme. After all, they are still a hotel and they do need to supply a quiet place for sleep as well as varying entertainment Also, they need to get a lift. The world is ADA compliant grandfathered in or not. Even ASU constructed an elevator where there was none in a grand fathered in historic building on campus for today's traffic, something The Congress Hotel has a lot of and yet to do. Authentic is not being a rock n roll themed hotel. It is not Disneyland. There is no parking and the place is just too noisy for getting rest and not ADA accessible. Time for a change perhaps? Just saying. The dates will not allow me to sate that I was a frequent visitor from pre pandemic day's for years. I was forced into stating 2021. Patty
