What Crystel Bernier doesn't like about El Merendero:
We were coming back from Puerto penasco and we were hungry! The food was just ok. Nothing to write home about. The service was alittle slow considering there were only 3 other patrons. It did the job...filled our tummy for the rest of the drive. But I wouldn't go back. The enchilada sauce was really thick and the salsa wasn't hot at all. View all feedback.
Best Mexican food ever! they were so good. the fajitas, where great, came with a homemade tortilla. the chips and salsa were good. and the service, also great. we even loved dessert. dinner for two with dessert was under $40.
Employees are always friendly, even if occupied or underoccupied. Eating is great. the air conditioning is always on max, which is beautiful in summer. during the pandemic remained open when many places were allowed to leave.
We came from the city and found ourselves in the opposite direction, so we decided to stop and eat at this restaurant. Each person in our group ordered something different, and everything was extremely tasty. The tacos, gorditas, green enchiladas, and more were all incredibly fresh and delicious. The meat was juicy and flavorful! The staff was also very welcoming and took great care of us.

I was incredibly impressed by the delicious flavors and the complexity of the spices, as well as the beautiful presentation. The carne asada was cooked perfectly, with a great texture that wasn't tough. They provided plenty of side salsas, along with tortilla chips and lime wedges, just as I had asked. The attention to detail was impeccable. I will definitely be coming back to order here again and again. Five stars!
Super busy place that kinda dirty and run down with all the exterior lights are burnt out. But our waitress was great and the food was great especially for the price.
