I'm really big at breakfast. It is important — the most important meal of the day! They make their cookies and cornbread from scratches EVERY Morning. This place is great for families, couples, ANYBODY. The prices are good, which leaves room to compensate for the capacity of the server (breakfast crosses tend to make less because of the lower prices on breakfast food). I promise, however, that happy person would ever be unsatisfactory from a meal experience here.
We requested to speak to someone about the situation, and the owner came over. Instead of addressing our concerns, she began yelling at us, accusing us of stealing simply because we were using silverware. She also berated us for drinking water, using insults as a way to justify the additional charge. After leaving us, she walked around the restaurant, mocking us in front of other customers. She returned to our table with her son, and the harassment escalated as they yelled at us again. When we went to pay our bill, the owner's behavior continued; she made childish faces and shouted gibberish while acting provocatively. My mom went back to our waitress to leave her a tip, as she had been very polite, but then we heard the cook shout from the kitchen, telling my mom to "get out, we don’t want your kind here, and stop harassing my waitress." After getting into our car, the owner unexpectedly ran out, pounding on our windows and kicking our tires while continuing her nonsensical shouting. We are determined never to return to this establishment, and I strongly advise others to avoid it as well. If you do decide to go, I recommend not questioning anything. Additionally, when my mom asked the owner if she really wanted to lose an entire family over a dollar, she replied dismissively, "I don’t care, so what!"
I’m a huge fan of breakfast; it’s the most important meal of the day! This restaurant makes its biscuits and cornbread from scratch every single morning. It's a fantastic spot for families, couples, and everyone in between. The prices are reasonable, allowing you to leave a nice tip for the server (since breakfast servers often earn less due to lower menu prices). I can assure you that anyone who visits will leave satisfied with their dining experience!
We asked to speak with someone about the issue, and that’s when the owner came over. Instead of addressing our concerns, she started yelling at us, accusing us of misusing the silverware, and berating us for requesting water. She used insults to justify the plate-splitting fee and then went around the restaurant, mocking us in front of other customers. The owner returned to our table with her son, and they both continued to harass us and shout. When we went to settle the bill, the harassment didn't stop; they made strange faces and yelled at us in gibberish, acting as if they were children taunting us. Afterwards, my mother tried to give a tip to our waitress, who had been very polite. However, the cook shouted from the kitchen, telling my mother to leave because “we don’t want your kind here” and accused her of harassing the waitress. When we finally got to our car, the owner rushed outside, banging on our windows and kicking our tires while still shouting gibberish and making faces at us. We’ve decided we will never return here, and I strongly advise others to think twice as well. If you do choose to come, I recommend not asking for anything. One last thing: when my mother asked the owner if she was really willing to lose an entire family's business over a $1 charge, the owner replied dismissively, “I’m not interested, so what!"
