This is authentic and delicious. Closest thing to Bangkok you will find outside of Southeast Asia.

Although the beef Thai curry tasted delic... read more I was been meaning to try Char's for a while now, so it's disappointing to say I was not fully satisfied with my meal! Although the beef Thai curry tasted delicious, the drunken noodles and the kangped phade yang (duck curry) were disappointing. The drunken noodles lacked flavor, were dry, and despite the server mentioning its spiciness, there was no hint of heat. I would suggest ordering it medium spicy! The beef in the Thai curry was chewy, and the duck curry lacked the excitement I was hoping for. On a positive note, we ordered an iced Thai drink that was very delicious! It was not overly sweet, and the tea flavor shine through. The restaurant was packed and got very busy during our Sunday evening visit, with only one server working. She was running around so fast that I felt bad for her, but she was exceptionally sweet and attentive. I still appreciate flavorful Thai food and understand that Char's may have a different and healthier approach to their dishes. Therefore, I would recommend giving them a try!

Credit card can be used with a 3 percent extra charge. Not worth the food for the price paid. Not going back again.

The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming. The food is fantastic, with delicious and comforting vegetarian options. Whether you're in the mood for soup, curry, or noodles, you can't go wrong with this Tucson favorite!
