My brother Frank took me to this restaurant, and although it's located in a strip mall, don't let that deter you! The food was absolutely delicious, with amazing depth of flavors. We enjoyed the 2-inch thick pork chops served alongside asparagus and an incredible bread pudding. I ordered the duck, which was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and came in a delightful squash cup that paired perfectly. We also tried the homemade soups—one was a mouthwatering curry with shrimp that truly delighted my taste buds. Mark, the owner and chef, took the time to chat with us during our meal, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant has a full bar and a nice selection of beers, and the service was quick and professional. I can't wait to return. Highly recommended—a true gem!
We enjoyed two fantastic meals at this restaurant. The smoked double-cut pork chop is outstanding, and the French onion bread pudding is a must-try! If you're seeking excellent dining in Tualatin, you won't be disappointed.
I eat in top restaurants all over the country and Avanti is my favorite. The owners Mark and Jean are exceptionally good at the service and the employees and chefs are always friendly and the execution is consistently high. Every ingredient is made from scratch. The chef talent keeps me back and forth! Always a new dish to try to blow me away with taste and execution.
The simplest appetizer, olives sautéed in oil with cayenne, will become a household staple. Superb steak, excellent butterfly shrimp, generous pours, and awesome desserts; best cremé brulee ever! Spendy, but worth it.
