If the old owner was good, food is still good, right now with the new owner, they put you in place for a tip, you need to get your own order, get your cutlery, get your own drink, find your own table and buses your own table, what is it worth? 1/2 percent? The food here is not the worst. It's relatively decent. I had a lot of things from here, but my walking is usually the grill mix. My beef with this place is that they have become stubbornly greedy. Not necessarily a bad thing because they have a business to run. But I slowly began to notice that portions became smaller and smaller. Incredible and truly authentic! We ordered shoyu chicken, kalua pork, saimin, and teriyaki chicken, and everything was delicious. Since relocating to Oregon from Kauai five years ago, we've sampled various Hawaiian restaurants in the area, but none come close to this one. The flavors of Hawaiian cuisine are distinctive to the islands, and this restaurant captures them perfectly. I can't wait to try everything else on the menu!
The staff was extremely friendly, the food was fantastic, and I highly recommend this place!
The potstickers and egg rolls were fried in old oil, leaving them blackened and greasy—absolutely inedible. The rice was served cold, the shrimp was undercooked, and the beef was overcooked and covered in charred remnants from the grill.
Very clean place and the staff is very polite and professional. I absolutely loved their spam musubi and teriyaki sauce!! I will be back on my way back through the area.
One of my favorite spots for island bbq. Island jams playing in the dining area. Cool vibes. I’ve known the kitchen staff since HS days and they are always welcoming, friendly and, respectable. Food always on point.
