This restaurant is incredible. We have dined in numerous upscale restaurants globally, and this one ranks amongst the top. It was a truly delightful experience.
Last week, I dined at Cafe La Gaule with four other guests and we spent over $500 on our meal. The food was delicious, but unfortunately, the service was terrible. This was not the fault of the wait staff, but rather because the two chef kitchen was only being run by one overwhelmed chef. As a result, our entrees did not all come out at the same time, and two of our group finished their meals before the rest of us were served. Additionally, the appetizers for two of us were not brought out until after our main courses were served, and only after we had complained about not receiving them. It is disappointing that an upscale restaurant like Cafe La Gaule does not have contingency plans in place to handle such situations.
Went in on Friday, Jun 30th at 2p for a quick lunch. Two very snarky servers told me they closed at 2 on this day rather than 3 because the weather was going to get bad . Must have meant the weather somewhere else as the forecast is not calling for bad weather. Plus, why is a primarily indoor eating establishment is closing early because of bad weather? You be the judge as to what really happened here. Lazy (and rude)!!
The food was fantastic.
Service was great and fast Food was delicious I would definitely recommend For a French breakfast cafe
