Exceptional diner fare! The owner prepares everything from scratch, which really elevates the experience. Be prepared for a bustling atmosphere during peak tourist seasons, but the staff does an impressive job managing the crowd. The line cook is incredibly fast; you might receive your food even before you finish placing your order! Definitely keep an eye out for their fresh baked goods—if you see a pie, grab it while you can, as it tends to sell out quickly! An added bonus is their commitment to the community; they even open their doors after hours exclusively for local kids when school lets out. Did I mention the food is outstanding?!!

Everything you are looking for in the classic breakfast joint. Good, funny staff. Fast filling of coffee cups. Delicious breakfast clips. The cookies and sweet sauce are a unique product that I would highly recommend!

This is the quintessential American Café complete with country music, railway decoration and the old West presence is missing from "yuppified" Truckee. I remember growing up here with my dad and it was still as inviting as it was at that time. The French dip sandwich was huge on home made bread. The service was warm as if I were regular every morning. While I was sitting at the counter in the morning, I was transported to these visits with my dad. Big breakfast before a ski day in the peaks of Sierra Nevada. Millennial's caution! This café is an unapologetic old school American.... And I love it! I'm sure everyone is welcome, but love it for what it is. Avoid the overpriced yuppie, vegan, Californian cuisine and keep it simple, but great!

3 of us had breakfast and the food and service was amazing. I had the bagel sandwich with ham and it was delicious. I have to meet the owners on the way out. So nice people. Thanks for having such a great restaurant for us to experience. I wish there were more restaurants like this.

I arrived early to secure parking, and to my surprise, breakfast was 50% off from 5:30 to 7:30. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious.
