We've been going to this restaurant at Blapbach for many years, run by the Hofer family. I can't be entirely without bias as my opinion is formed by many years... read more We've been going to this restaurant at Blapbach for many years, run by the Hofer family. I can't be entirely without bias as my opinion is formed by many years of holiday memories, but I have eaten here very happily in the past and in the last year too. They serve good solid Bernese food, with lots of varieties of sausages and, of course, the excellent rosti which I can't recommend enough: a cake of melting grated potato crisped in butter. Massive meringues and ice cream confections and the Blapbach coffee (with schnapps and whipped cream) finish off the meal. Park up, go for a walk in the beautiful Emmental, and enjoy the restaurant. Did I mention the view? You get to experience the best of the crinkling landscape that makes the Emmental so special.
