Knowledgeable staff recommend lures and will order items you can’t find, while locals trade stories and gossip. Prices are fair and the inventory includes hard-to-find spirits and seasonal gear. It’s not a beer shop, and the guns-and-schnapps vibe is niche, but anglers, hunters and outdoor visitors will find a welcoming, well-stocked local resource.

Fantastic fish shop with incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff! They recommended a variety of lures, and I had great success fishing on the Yaak River (check out the photos!). Just a heads up: I didn’t find any beer in the store, which I had hoped to purchase, so if that’s what you’re after, you’ll need to look elsewhere.
Amazing selection of liquors for such a small place. I was surprised to see Limoncello, Orphan Girl, Appleton Estate rum, Galliano and many, many other beverages. I went in looking for 43 , an aperitif I had only discovered a few years ago in Mexico. He didn 't stock it but said he would after he confirmed on Google that it is the largest selling liquor in the world. A very friendly and helpful owner.

I couldn’t help but laugh when I visited this place. What’s not to love? If you’re not a fan of guns and schnapps, you might feel a bit out of place as soon as you walk in. However, if you don’t fish, hike, hunt, or enjoy wandering in the woods, there really isn’t much reason to stay in Troy, MT, unless you’re just passing through.
Large selection of liquors and prices were great on paws.
