This KFC offers a casual, family‑friendly atmosphere with generally prompt, friendly counter service and decent value via family meals. However, experiences are inconsistent: frequent stock shortages, online-order and voucher mix‑ups (even double charges), overcooked or mis‑portioned chicken, and pricey sides undermine reliability. Management can be helpful explaining policies, but inventory and service lapses make visits hit‑or‑miss — consider alternatives if dependable orders matter.
I placed an online order at this restaurant and paid for it in advance. However, when my husband went to pick it up, the store manager claimed there was no record of our order. She insisted that we needed to have an account to place an order online and that our order should have been linked to it. Even after my husband showed her our bank statement as proof of the charge, she accused him of lying. In the end, we had to pay again to receive our food, totaling $100 for what was originally supposed to be a $47 meal. This experience was extremely frustrating, and I cannot recommend this restaurant.
On July 30, 2022, we visited the KFC in Troy, and unfortunately, we couldn't use the voucher brochure I received from the Vandalia location. The manager was very gracious in explaining why her restaurant isn't able to accept the coupons. Would it be possible to include a list of specific locations that honor these vouchers on the brochures? Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, Greg K.
I dined at the restaurant on Wednesday, May 1st, around 9:30 PM. While the service was decent, the food fell short of expectations. The chicken was overly greasy, and the coating fell apart, making it soggy. As I attempted to eat it, grease leaked out of the container and stained my new shirt. The mac and cheese was cold, the mashed potatoes were acceptable, but they were out of biscuits. Overall, the quality of the food was quite disappointing, and I ended up throwing away the entire meal.
I strongly suggest trying Chick-fil-A! There's a noticeable difference in the number of customers between KFC and Chick-fil-A. Honestly, I wish KFC would just shut down!
I would not recommend visiting this location. During my evening visit, they said they were out of nearly everything. The woman taking orders (a blonde with a ponytail) seemed more focused on texting than on her job. If they can’t provide proper service, they might as well close early to prevent wasting people’s time. I left feeling frustrated, especially since I could have saved on gas. Overall, I give this place a 0/10.
