Nestled in Troy, Vermont, this small retro eatery is prized for hearty, homemade comfort food—from breakfast and mac-and-cheese to burgers, whoopie pies and a standout lemon meringue. The local restaurant for Troy. Family has been coming here for many years, back when it was Junction 101 restaurant. Great tasting homemade food, everything is delicious. Especially in the winter, always start with breakfast from here before a day of skiing. Their homemade raisin bread is amazing. View all feedback.

I used to visit this restaurant for breakfast once or twice a month, but my last experience will definitely be my final one. I discovered a long hair in my Eggs Benedict that didn’t belong to either my husband or me. After spitting it out, I waited for our server to return, but she never did. We ordered from this restaurant a couple of times in one week and genuinely enjoyed the food, particularly the burgers, fries, and sweet potato fries. However, be cautious when you enter, as the whoopie pies are dangerously delicious! They're about the size of a small cake, so it's probably best to share—though I won't judge you if you don't! We opted for takeout and called in our order, which was ready in just 20 minutes. The interior is small but offers ample seating. Interestingly, patrons attach money to the ceiling, which the restaurant donates to charity.
I've been going there for breakfast every weekend for about three years. I wouldn't keep returning if it weren't excellent.
This is, by far, the best meal I've had in Vermont and I've lived here for 6 years. Thank you so much. This place is quite far from home, but we will make the trek as often as we can. ?
The breakfast here is excellent and reasonably priced. The homemade toast is particularly delightful.

I discovered this place a year ago, and the people in this area are incredibly lucky to have such a gem to enjoy. It's a reliable refuge in any situation! It's a gathering spot for good friends and serves delicious, homemade food in a truly traditional style. The water even tastes like water! I don't hand out perfect scores easily, and as someone in the restaurant industry, I tend to be even more discerning. But I'll give this place a 12! This time, the highlight was the lemon meringue pie—absolutely incredible. I can't wait to return in the fall!
I used to visit this restaurant for breakfast once or twice a month, but my last experience will definitely be my final one. I discovered a long hair in my Eggs Benedict that didn’t belong to either my husband or me. After spitting it out, I waited for our server to return, but she never did. It seemed she was too busy attending to the regular customers while my food sat untouched. Eventually, a young woman who was refilling coffee (not our assigned server) came by to give us the bill. When I mentioned the hair, she simply apologized, handed me the bill, and walked away. I'm giving this place 1 star primarily for the awful service, though finding the hair was definitely disgusting. It feels like it’s only a matter of time before this restaurant goes out of business again.
