Was Paul Toepp at Crumpets a mag?
I find that crumpets is one of the best places in Oakland County to get breakfast Dee and Farouk are amazing as a team the kitchen puts out an excellent product with the food coming out hot the sausages are from Dearborn Ham which there's no filler in them they are amazing and the raisin toast is to die for. It's a well-kept secret in all of Oakland County. You should try it View all feedback.
What Brad Boyer dislikes about Crumpets:
The service leaves a lot to be desired. The place feels outdated and in disrepair. When the staff is busy, they tend to be discourteous. The food is on par with what you'd expect from a hotel, lacking in quality. View all feedback.

Solid Hotel restaurant, friendly staff and good options for breakfast including easy options for those who prefer Paleo or Keto options as well.
I visited with friends and asked for a gluten free meal. I got plain whitefish, with no seasoning at all, steamed broccoli and white rice. It seems they equate Gluten Free with LOW calorie. The menu item looked awesome, but the reality wasn't worth the price I paid.
We were the only group in the restaurant on a weekday evening. It was a nice setting. I've often wondered why it's called Crumpets when they don’t actually serve any. They're quite simple to make—just add a bit of butter and jam, and they’re delightful! The dinner menu wasn't very extensive, but it was decent enough.

I work in the building attached to Somerset Inn. I walked over to order my lunch to go and was told they were too busy.
Best BREAKFAST secret in Troy! Very pleasant, upscale dining room and not crowded. Excellent, professional service. Prices are a bit higher when you order a la carte but the All American is a deal that includes juice and coffee with eggs, potatoes and toast, is a bargain. Yes, I 'm going to come here at other times and see if it 's as good for lunch and dinner, I 'll update when I do that .

Ordered the French onion soup. It was ok, a little sweet. My salad for lunch cost $9. I added chicken for another $6. It was square chunks of chicken. I thought a least grilled and cut and arranged nicely. Nope, bland chicken. Nothing to deserve the $15 dollar price tag. Not worth the time.
