I was invited to lunch at the Bavarian Kitchen and was surprised to see that only one out of the three servers was wearing a mask.

I stopped for a child's carry-out of Speckle for my daughter. The portion size was huge, so we shared the order. They don't do take-outs, but the waitress asked. The waitress was charming. The speckle was awful. I'm unsure if they gave the children leftovers the night before, but they were tasteless and socky. If those were made fresh, the dry box of Sparkles I purchase for certain soups, I create taste better.

I cannot praise this restaurant enough! Every dish was absolutely delicious. The staff was extremely accommodating to our gluten-free and vegetarian requirements. They were knowledgeable and friendly. I loved the food so much that I will definitely be recommending this place to my future grandchildren, even though I don't have kids yet. You can tell that the food was prepared with love. The salad was especially fantastic.

The restaurant offers authentic Bavarian cuisine in the Lake Norman area. The pork roast with dumpling was delicious and tender, with generous portions that allowed for leftovers to enjoy the next day. The Gypsy Schnitzel was also satisfying. Both dishes were served with a side salad and accompanied by German beer. The service was excellent, and we look forward to returning. Parking can be challenging as it is shared with neighboring strip malls, so we had to park in front of a pawn shop and walk to the restaurant.

Called Wednesday and per the outgoing message we left our name, number in our party, day and time we would like a reservation. On Friday we called back to confirm our reservation. A lady answered and repeated everything we said on the called. She acted very confused. Finally another lady got on the phone and indicated they had NOT gotten on reservation off their answering machine. We placed another reservation with her.We arrived Saturday night, on time, and were seated quickly. Then the service began. Lackluster is too generous. An old waitress could care less about our order or the service. We had to get her attention numerous times to place our order and remind her of items we had ordered she had not brought. Then to end it all she had added 2 items to our bill we did not order totaling over $40.00.We did get her to fix that. The dining area is VERY loud. Very bad acoustics.Even with reservations they sat us in the hall to the restrooms. There were plenty of empty tables in other areas. We tried it, no need to go back.
