Reviews - Showdowns
Reviews summary
Nestled near Bryce Canyon, this renovated‑barn eatery blends live acoustic and country music with friendly, attentive service, a broad beer list and indoor/outdoor seating including a cozy firepit for s'mores. Comfort‑food favorites—wings, ribs, burgers, onion rings and steaks—are affordably priced and crowd‑pleasing, creating a warm, family‑friendly vibe. Evenings can be lively and occasionally noisy, and there are occasional inconsistencies (salty Alfredo, uneven seafood, warm indoor dining), but overall it’s a welcoming, entertaining stop for park visitors.

Great place to relax after a long day of hiking. Plenty of gluten free options. I enjoyed the local hoodoo beer in a nice frosty mug. Good music and outdoor seating is a must. Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free View all feedback.
What James B dislikes about Showdowns:
Great location! Food meh! Trout did not taste fresh and was heavily coated with sauce. Mashed potatoes were not made on site so I did a baked potato- it was supposed to be “loaded” but had sour cream and butter. Alfredo was were salty. View all feedback.

Diverse and delicious dishes with excellent value for money in a pleasant atmosphere.
Very nice place, super nice with live country music. Songs of all kinds (classics known to everyone) at a very pleasant volume for dinner and performed by a good musician. Delicious food. We had ribs and wings, they were spectacular. They have a wide variety of beers, and you can dine inside or outside. A very American place, like something out of a movie (for us who are European). With beer and dessert to share it comes out to about 25 dollars per person (with tip and taxes included). Parking: Close and easy Kid-friendliness: Perfect for children
We came for dinner after reading reviews and staying in Bryce Canyon, showdowns is well worth the 15 drive for great food, live entertainment and the friendliest staff ! We loved this small town restaurant and the outdoor patio and grounds are inviting! Great menu selection variety!
First night here in Bryce and we decided to check this place out based on the reviews. First off the restaurant itself is SUPER cute and homey. I'm not sure if they have air conditioning, it was warm inside, but even though we were seated in the back near the kitchen, it wasn't horrible. There was live acoustic music and he was great!! Taylor was our server and she was incredibly sweet and very attentive! Made sure we had everything we needed, drink always full, and gave us a great run down of the area. The food was pretty good too. Started with mozzarella sticks which we pretty standard. My daughter and I had the chicken ceaser wrap and it was tasty! My son had the pasta Alfredo, and hubby had the Bacon Jam Burger. The bacon jam was phenomenal!!! Over all the prices were great, food was good, drinks cold and experience was wonderful!!!

Had a very pleasant evening here with nice food, the Sirloin was great, drink, Utah has a number of really talented craft breweries and entertainment. Didn't catch her name, but she was good. Order the locally produced Jack'd Sauce with the rest of your food, otherwise you need to save some cold slices of meat. Super sauce. Nice and friendly service for a good amount. The place to visit in Tropic IMHO.
Fun place. There were lots of people, including waiters, without masks... So be warned. The food was good, not world class, but tasty and enjoyable. The live music made for a great vibe. They had indoor and outdoor seating. Inside was warmer and louder. Outside they also had a firepit where you could pay $9 for some marshmallows and roast them there. Cute idea. Most of the food was very fairly priced for a town with so many tourists in the area because of the parks. They touted their Jack'd sauce so I got the wings with it. The wings came fried with the sauce on the side. I liked being able to dip the sauce at my discretion. The sauce was good, but I'd say too sweet. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the comfort food.
We took a detour to try this restaurant and are so glad we did. The indoor and outdoor seating areas are lovely, situated in a quiet, shaded spot away from the highway. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious, complemented by a great selection of beers. This is definitely a must-visit when you're in Bryce Canyon.
This restaurant had such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly, which really contributed to the vibrant mood of the place. They even have a fire pit where you can roast s'mores, adding to the unique experience. Live country music played softly in the background, creating a relaxing vibe. We tried the wings with Jackd sauce, mozzarella sticks, and the sweet doodle cupcake. The Jackd sauce was fantastic, and the cupcakes were definitely large enough to share! Additionally, the prices are very affordable, which is often hard to find in tourist areas. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and truly enjoyed our time here. After a long, dusty hike during the day, it was such a pleasure to unwind with some great food, lovely music, and friendly faces.
What a wonderful dining experience! The ambiance is incredible, and we found it to be very relaxing. The service was top-notch. The onion rings were absolutely fantastic—seriously fresh and delicious! The steak was cooked to perfection and had an amazing flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone; it's definitely worth a visit!
