Was Friederike Kuwert at Smak a mag?
An unforgettable evening by wonderful hosts and a sensational menu one of the best restaurants we've been to in terms of taste! Thank you for that Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 View all feedback.

What André K dislikes about Smak:
Great food but too greedy. Average service, average presentation. (or poor, for this price point) Rather simple interior, the service was not very attentive. Wine pairing that starts well into the meal further diminishes the experience (expecting extra purchase) and then it ends with begging for tip(unworthy such place). The experience is totally average for this price point. Service: Dine in View all feedback.

Our fine dining experience was excellent. Lady who served us was superb and fun. She kindly told us widely about food, wine and local touch in restaurant. Food was beautiful and tasted just perfect. Food pairing with the wine was more than we wished. The staff overall was friendly and top range. We higly recommend Restaurant Smak dining experience. Absolutely lovely.

Tromsø culinary scene has got a new star! Don't let the interior fool you. The restaurant is cozy and has a relaxing atmosphere but the food is of the highest international standard, made with local products by highly skilled chefs. This place is truly a gem!

Very nice fine-dining; the owners are very passionate about their craft. I chose the premium wine pairing and was very happy about the choice. 16 courses including 5 starters in the lobby, however, need a bit getting used to. For me personally, it was a bit too much; in the end I could barely concentrate on the individual courses and was somewhat looking forward to the end ; That is a bit sad for such a nice place. My personal recommendation would be to let people choose between the 16-18 courses and perhaps a slightly shorter version of 10-12 courses; and also explain upfront the idea of having multiple starters in the lobby, before moving to the actual dinner room. The next time, I would probably also choose the non-alcoholic pairing instead because 8 wines was quite a lot for me since normally I am not much of a drinker. Besides it being a bit too long, I enjoyed our experience and would recommend it as a special dining experience in Tromsø.

An exceptionally pleasant and palatable experience! Elegant yet down-to-earth setting and servicing. Refinement and finesse in the kitchen yet with blessed and oh so welcome simplicity. A humble enthusiasm and love of local and seasonal omnipresent. Strongly recommended!! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
