In my POV, Pankayam is one of the few restaurants that serves a good portion of Kerala meals at lunch time in Thiruvananthapuram city. For that reason, the place is busier during lunch time. A variety of fish fry and a variety of Kappa (Tapioca) dishes are there. Vegetarian meals will cost Rs. 130 per person, and fish fry rates start at 180 rupees, if I remember correctly. Friendly staff, especially the female staff... View all feedback.
On my third day in Trivandrum, India, I stumbled upon this unique and eye-catching restaurant. The structure is made of container boxes, which was a new and interesting experience for me. I tried the "sadya meal," a rice curry dish with 8 different curries, as well as some separately ordered spicy prawns. The food was amazing and I loved it. I also had a refreshing fresh pineapple juice, which was the best I've ever had. I highly recommend this place for anyone interested in this type of cuisine. The customer service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff who explained the different curries and seafood options available. Despite the crowded atmosphere, I found the place to be very relaxing with good company. I would recommend this restaurant to families, couples, and even solo diners like myself. Thank you for a great dining experience, I will definitely be back soon. Enjoy the photos!
The food at this restaurant is delicious and the rustic atmosphere is great. The place was clean and organized. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The only downside was that there were too many staff members serving at once, which was a bit overwhelming. I would prefer to have just one staff member assisting me. Overall, the food and atmosphere were both excellent.
This restaurant has a unique theme that enhances the ambiance and provides a wonderful dining experience. As for the food, I absolutely loved the dishes we ordered. Our group of 8 people ordered 13 different dishes, and my favorite was the 'Chattichoru', a combination of all non-veg items served in a kadai. This dish offers a complete taste of Kerala cuisine. I have to mention the exceptional service provided by Mr. Karthik and the rest of the staff who were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Thank you, Pankayam, for a memorable meal today (2-1-24).
Pankayam Palayam Step into a world of good vibes and great ambiance. But brace yourself for the battle of finding a table, as this place is always packed, thanks to its reputation for good food. Despite having enough seats, it's still a challenge to snag one! On the downside, the food comes with a hefty price tag that might leave your wallet feeling a little lighter. The taste is alright, not outstanding, and the experience might not justify the cost. Choose wisely before indulging! #AmbienceGalore #FoodieHaven #CrowdedDelights #TasteOrExpense
Food and ambience is very good. Only negative was long wait time. Food was spicy but yummy. Recommend chatti chore, porotta, fish curry, kappa and chammanthi
