Excellent value for money, good service, well worth a visit. I was fascinated by the large, simple dining area which will take you back in time and make you feel you are a local. Friendly staff.

The hunt was worth it, too all initial appearances a local cafe with its simple style red and white checquerd table coths and no trimmings, workmen in their work clothes etc. We had selected this place on the reccommendation of our hotel receptionist who dines there as the unsoffisticated option of two. The reccomendation from the staff as to which dishes to have was superb, they were able to provide my wife with a gluten free version of her starter and the quality of the dishes was equal to any I have eaten all over the world. The accompanying wine a miniscule selection of house wine suited the dishes to perfection. We had a table booked and would reccommend anyone going there to do the same. It was noticable that a number of tables were empty earlier in the evening with no reserved signs in sight, these filled as we wate and it was obbvious the patrons were expected so 985Lissa please remember that even if a table is empty it does not mean it is not booked or committed.
