This a very typical local trattoria When you enter it seem to go back in time when Trieste was part o the Austria Hungary empire The dishes are from that period and I enjoyed the a lot The service was nice and fast (it was Monday evening and we were the only customer) View all feedback.
What annebrandy doesn't like about Savron:
ususally we like the little italian restauarants for their simply but nice food and prompt service on the day the service was slow even the resaturant was almost empty , the food was not upto expectation even the relatively low price could not offset our disappointment View all feedback.

The restaurant offers authentic Brazilian food (and drinks: caiprinhas! in a relaxed atmosphere. You can choose between starters and main courses or combine a number of starters and order extra as the evening progresses so you have like a tapas menu. That's what we did. The tapioca fritta were our favourite! Very surprising and tasteful. The chicken was nicely spiced as well. Staff very enthusiastic (warm welcome, friendly . No long wait.
Two common types of restaurant in Trieste are the meat based, Central European, Austro Hungarian food place normally on the hills surrounding the city; or the fish and seafood restaurant normally by the seafront. Savron was a famous and respected place of the first type up on the hills, but two years ago they decided to move down to town, in and old converted warehouse by the seafront. I went there for a large group Christmas dinner, so there was a standard menu; I had not declared my intolerance to gluten so I had some specials, which were prepared very rapidly and professionally. I heard that the food was good in spite of the mass of people. I suspend therefore my judgement, and promise to go back as soon as I am back in Trieste, for a proper dinner. One thing I have to say, though, is that the place was very noisy which is very common in old warehouses without soundproofing you really have to shout to be heard by the person sitting opposite you. I would work on that!
For years the goto place in Trieste for traditional meat dishes was Suban but the Nuovo Savron gives them, a run for the money. Conveniently located steps from the Rive (walking distance from Piazza Venezia) with outdoor seating tucked away on a quiet street, its definitely a pleasant dining experience wether you sit inside or out. The menu is quite traditional but each dish has a unique twist, well prepared, impeccably presented and SUPER GOOD, The VEAL is the BEST I have ever had and the portions are plentiful. Great wine list. Friendly staff and the owner Michele is a delight! My husband and I really enjoyed it!
