Then I had caponata di... read more Had a quick dinner sitting at an outdoor table. The appetizer (prosciutto cotto, a Trieste specialty) was good, and the serving was huge. Then I had caponata di pesce , and really did not like it: too oily, the taste was unbalanced, and the tuna fish was overcooked. The merlot vino della casa was served too cold.

The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed, the staff are eager to help and recommend the best dishes to the guests; the fish soup is superb, as is the mixed-shellfish platter! Also, the choice of wines is impressive! A must in Trieste!
