Great experience for lunch today Super fresh crab, just like the snapper we had for main course...simply sublime and impeccably cooked Very friendly and welcoming. We'll be back as soon as possible

I had dinner with my husband at Massimo's and left the trattoria happy! Despite it being a distinctly rustic place, we ate incredibly fresh, impeccably cooked fish. Don't expect experimental cuisine, but it's definitely honest and respectful of the ingredients! The mussoli were delicious, the gnocchi with spider crab were delicate and flavorful. The linguine with caperozzoli (small clams) was stellar. And then for the main course, a very rare small fish, perfectly boned and fried (menore). The strudel made by his wife (who serves with kindness and charm) made the evening a perfect end. In conclusion: a small restaurant with a typical family-run trattoria atmosphere, warm welcome and fast service, stellar ingredients, simple and delicious cuisine, and a very extensive menu, especially fish-based. The house wine was more than good. We'll definitely return.

My partner and I had lunch at this trattoria and were thrilled. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The prices are very fair, and the staff welcomes you with a smile. If you're looking for authentic, home-cooked Trieste flavors, this is the place. We'll definitely be back!

An authentic #trattoria in #Trieste #Roiano, one of those increasingly rare today, where you can experience the real Trieste, without artifice or forced nostalgia. Here, tradition is not an exercise in style, but a daily practice. Massimo, with his profound knowledge of fish, cooks it with respect and intelligence, letting the freshness and quality of the ingredients speak for themselves. Each dish speaks of the sea and its seasonality. In the dining room, the welcome is warm, sincere, and familiar: you are guided through your choices with passion and expertise, as guests rather than customers. Mussoli, spider crab, mixed fried fish, octopus salad, crudités: everything smells of home and the sea, with dry, fragrant, generous fried food, prepared as it once was and not standardized. The house white wine perfectly complements the meal and completes the experience. Thank you for everything you offer and for the harmony that reigns in your restaurant.

A true traditional trattoria with the freshest fish, cooked perfectly and with love!!! Bravi, Bravi, Bravi!!!! I highly recommend trying it. Truly delicious, from the sardoni in savor, to the marinated sardoni, to the cod made by them, to the perfectly breaded sardoni (a generous portion), to the scallops, to the octopus and prawns... and last but not least... the Terrano liqueur made by Massimo (the chef). My only regret... I didn't order the granzievole... but I'll make up for it next time (my fault, my greatest fault). Excellent experience.
