We received an unpleasant reply when politely asking for the drink menu (in German; everyone was having drinks so it wasn’t that we weren’t ordering food). Other customers were frustrated with the delay in paying. Cant speak to the quality of the food, but it cant be good enough to make up for service that makes you feel like they’re doing you a favor.

Service was wasn't gr... read more Trier was quite crowded and it was hard to find a table outside. We walked past ratskeller and saw a free space so we decided to sit down. Service was wasn't great. The personnel is quite blunt and not that attentive. It seemed like they wanted everything to take as little effort as possible and they didn't come around, for example to ask if we wanted another drink, unless you called on them. Prices are very reasonable considering the fact that the restaurant is located right at one of the main squares. The quality of the food and the preparation of the food, however, aren't great. I would recommend going elsewhere.
