The natural floor panels that led us to the main entrance of the restaurant, added to the ambience of the outdoor space, that also caters for free parking. We were then greeted with a most hospitable and friendly welcome by the local staff, who were dressed in smart/casual uniforms. The first thing that you notice about the restaurant is the spaciousness open, yet warm and inviting. As the staff all speak English, there were no misunderstandings and I was able to inquire as to what they would recommend to drink before being shown to our pre booked table. I was impressed in how knowledgeable the barman was as he reeled off by heart the endless range of local Venetian wines, cocktails and aperitifs available. The bar has modern, yet comfortable stools where we were able to unwind before being shown to our table.The custom made wine glasses added to the attention to detail; one of the many characteristics that would make our evening at this lovely restaurant so memorable. At the rear of the restaurant, there is seating for those romantic occasions wedding receptions, engagement nights, anniversaries etc. Sitting overlooking the river Sile, the warm overhead lights/candlelight's, the trees all add to the atmosphere of the romantic charm this restaurant has. We were now ready to enjoy our meal. One of the waiters gladly took us to our reserved table. The tables are made of natural wood, the lighting, soft yet adequate for texting and catching up with emails (free Wi Fi, of course. Overhead, was ivy, hanging from the ceiling, wire framed which, added a natural feel to the restaurant. Our menu, which has such a extensive range of food to cater for every possible palate, was given us. Again, I was deeply impressed at the extensive knowledge of the dishes, the waiter knew. Very impressive! As the first course was served, we enjoyed freshly prepared Tartar with a selection of fresh local meats sumptuously delicious. Home made marmalade along with a variety of French and Italian cheeses complemented the Tartar exceedingly well. The generous portions made me wonder if we could cope with the main dish, which was yet to be served! The open kitchen enables you to sit and watch as your meal is prepared by the chef, who seemed completely undisturbed to the fact that so many customers were watching his every move. He just smiled and continued with his work. We have been to other restaurants, whereby waiters constantly hover over you, waiting for you to finish your meal. Here at the Bosketto Restaurant, the waitress merely asked us if everything was okay fabulous service indeed! The main meal, succulent medium to rare grilled meat has to be one of the most freshly cooked meats we have ever eaten. The local Polenta made of water and maize, a poor mans meal. according to the historical information given to us by the waiter, along with freshly made sausages and bacon, served on a palate stone plate, simply made for perfection itself. La Borzo Piave a local wine that has historical and symbolic significance, was tried truly grand! Don't ask me how, but we managed to find some space to try a number of their homemade biscuits with mascarpone cream amazing! Coffee you cannot leave that out as this is Italy and The Bosketto restaurant serves traditional Italian food and much, much more. To bring our delightful evening to an end, we decided to try a Sambuca, an aniseed alcoholic drink. Just watching how the young lady served it, was reason enough to take a photo! If you are on holiday, passing through Treviso or even if you live locally, this is a restaurant you cannot afford to miss. As someone who has worked in the restaurant business for some 20 years, it comes highly recommended. Don't take my word for it go and visit The Bosketto restaurant and see for yourselves. You will not be disappointed!
